I have a little forest of something on my LR that I haven't been able to
ID yet, and cannot get a pic because it is so small. They are no more
than a 1/4" in height, are brownish colored, have a crown similar to an
aptaisia or a polyp, but have not grown to aptaisia size and have shorter
"tentacles" which sit on top a stem. Do not look like tube worms. They
cover an area a few square inches in size and have spread a little in the
last couple of months. I have been looking on sites like Marc L's but
have found no matches. Perhaps some kind of macroalgae?
They are not a problem at this time, but I'm curious what they might be.
Sorry I can't provide a picture.
Thanks,
Mark
