Lets see, one black wolf in a flock of sheep.... who could have done it ?
;~). When the BGK was finished taking out their right eyes, then they
would've become much easier midnight meals.
jmo

ps: The Black Neons will be fine with only one eye, if there are no
predators in the tank. Fish have 2 'vision' systems, as their lateral
line detects motion well enough for them to know approximate location &
direction etc of object causing or reflecting vibrations. I had a
species tank of blind cave barbs, and there was very little wrong about
their ability to locate and eat food and smaller fish.

pss: It's unlikely the BGK will reach 18" in captivity, but don't let
that stop you from providing him with a bigger & better habitat. I used
to hand feed them frozen foods. Their favourite was a specialty item,
Discus Delight with garlic I think (expensive taste, but I'm such a
sucker for BGKs ;~).
