My tank has been overrun by brown algae. i'm not sure what kind of algae is
it. but it produces air bubbles on the surface of it. also my turbo snails
eat all green algae except for the brownies. and my green algae growth is
under control.

may i know what causes this brown algae growth. is it too must of certain
thing in my water properties?

pls help.

What is your water parameter?
How old / long is your bulb?
What type of watar you put into your tank?
What type substrate you are using?
How much circulation you are running?
What kind or type of filteration you are using?
How much biosload do you have in your tank?

In freshwater, too much phosphorus causes brown algae *diatom* is what it's
called, and too little light is the reason for it's existance.... not sure
if the same applies to sal****er tanks... also some mention of silicates in
the water being the secondary reason...
