This is going to seem like a stupid question but what is the proper way to
feed one of these. I purchased one from the LFS for $1.99 on sale and was
like ok cool good deal. Well I get it home and this thing is a cannibal.
After acclimation I dropped it in the tank and right away it jumped right on
one of my turbo snails before he finally gave up and let it go. Well I
noticed today that it was sitting outside of one of the holes in my live
rock where one of my peppermint shrimp called home. He stuck one of his
appendages in the hole and grabbed my shrimp then just jumped him like a boa
constrictor as I watch in awe with my mouth open. I have frozen formula one
I would drop in the tank and what the 2 fish I have do not pick off before
hitting the bottom he gets the rest but it seems it is not enough.

After watching this today I am so very close to taking this thing back :)

It will catch your fish and eat them too. Very beautiful to look at, but
unfortunately a menace to our tanks.

I knew one guy with one, and each day another fish was missing. He ended up
taking it to the LFS for credit, and a few months later sold his tank too. ;)

Well I hope not to be selling my tank anytime soon, but I did take it back
tonight and walked out without anything.

Your LFS didn't inquire if you had fish in your tank before selling it
to you?

VERY irresponsible of them. Sounds like the local corporate mega
store...

Too bad the LFS don't know enough to warn you.... good thing it was only a
couple bucks, but it'll cost you more to replace the shrimp....

One more reason to Study BEFORE purchase, Never buy on impulse

Also cannibal means to eat ones own species, I think you meant predator.
