Hi all - I have two dwarf neon blue gouramis in a 15 gal tank along with 6
small tetras. In the past 10 days or so they are acting 'different'. They
have been there about 4 months with no obvious symptoms till now. One seems
to sit on the bottom most of the time, perhaps leaning slightly. It
can/will swim but seems to labor when doing it. The other is just hanging
around the top corner. They do appear to be 'panting'.The other fish seem
'normal'. I don't believe the Guoramis are eating - a little at most.
Definitely not waiting on top for the feed bell. The water parameters are
0-0-10 - pH 7.5. temp steady 76. I am really at a loss at what could be
wrong except that I did have a case of velvet recently, in another tank, and
there is a possibility of cross contamination through the common water
bucket I use for weekly 30% water changes. I am very unfamiliar with
velvet, as I was unaware of it untill it was already in it's final fatal
stages in another tank, but I don't see anything, even with the 'dark
room/flashlight' method.
Any thoughts?
Thanxx
