Hi all,
Sorry but I live on a fram in the middle of whoop whoop and have no one
else to tell. I've had just two baby tank bred ocellaris clowns for a
month (700l tank) and today I got a Coral Beauty, 2 Pyjama cardinals and
a coral banded shrimp. I also got a leather coral. They seem to have
handled the 3 1/2 hour trip home well and have all fish have eaten and
the coral started opening up again.
I didn't quarantine these fish as the shop owner had them for two weeks
and they were treated before he got them, however, he said I will have
to have my q tank ready for the next fish as he will be sourcing them
from a different place and can't guarantee their health.
It was such a pleasure feeding them this evening and having plenty of
fish to find the food as it wafted around. The two little clowns on
their own were very hard to feed.
Tomorrow I will try the brine shrimp again which the clowns refused to eat.
Cheers

Give 'em a few days to settle in and they will be
following you around the tank begging for food.

Thanks all,
I have the Q tank setup but ran out of salt to fill it above the heater.
When I rang the petshop the owner told me that the fish he had put aside
for me were 99% safe - he'd never, ever had a problem with that
supplier. I also got another box of salt with the fish so while
acclimating the fish yesterday I filled the Q tank ready for the next
lot in about 2 months. I'll put the filter in my main tank in the next
week or two and let it run in there until then.
