Does everyone feed a large variety of GF food to their fish? What are you
feeding them and how often? I have a small basket I keep their food as it's
easy to carry from room to room. In this basket I have:

Top Fin Tropical flakes.
Wardly's Smrimp pellets.
Hikari Gold pellets.
Hikari Goldfish flakes.
Aqua Select Pacifica Plankton.
TetraFin Goldfish Crisps.
Nippon Community Chips and
Nippon Algae Galore wafers.

Not in the basket: :-)
That's in addition to frozen foods such as blood worms, glassworms etc.

Fish under a year old are fed 3 times a day if indoors (twice if outdoors).

Do you keep them in aquaria or in pond?

In addition, I _fed_ years ago aquaria plants, green
vegetables and self-made food containing green vegetables
and in addition algae powder like spirulina and chlorella.

You feed variedly.

Fine. They also like "daphnia spec." and fish eggs.

Sounds good.

The fancy GF are in aquarium. The Shubunkins are in 150g kiddy pools
outdoors.

I never did make my own foods for them. I've always used commercial
products. All my tanks and outdoor pools contain natural water plants.

I learned long ago they do better and grow faster on a variety of foods.

They like hard-boiled eggs as well. I raise them on that mixed with Tetra
fry powder in outdoor pools.

Interesting pictures, thanks. From may to october I am used
to put several species outdoors (Macropodus opercularis,
Elassoma evergladei, Tanichthys albonubes, Heterandria
formosa, invertebrates, others). They spend summertime in
little ponds and tanks.

Fine - me, too. Outdoors and indoors.

And one day I will have space and time again for
goldfishes! :-)

# And I'm sure they're healthier for it. My fancies will go out for the
summers when they're a little larger. We have a real bad frog problem here.
The smaller ones squeeze through the nets on top of the pools and will eat
small goldfish. The Shubunkins can avoid them but the fancies are sitting
ducks.

# I love being retired. :-) There's a bit less money to go around but a
lot more free time to just enjoy life.

Interesting! Here, the baby frogs are often prey of fish.
What kind of frog is it?

$$ Yes, they have much deeper better color when kept outdoors.

$$ It's mainly the bullfrogs that eat the fish. But we also have leopard
and green frogs. Also water snakes will take any fish they can get.

I don't read that language. ;-) We have those critters here but they don't
come near houses with dogs. All but one of our neighbors have dogs and we
usually have several, so the raccoons and other wild animals stay away.

We had to net everything because of the predators that ignore dogs. Without
nets it wouldn't be possible to keep fish outdoors at all.
