Well, the price isn't horrific, but I'd prefer to see it before buying in
blindly. They should really have a picture of it on the site at least.
As long as you aren't looking to stock a bunch of corals, that should be decent
lighting for a 55g.

As long as you stay with low light demanding corals, they are good enough.

It should be fine for most things. The major difference between the two is
that the "moon light has some small LEDs to illuminate the tank at night.
It is also available without the LEDs.
One thing to consider is your lid/hood setup. If you are using a glass top
the Coralife will take up most of the top of the tank because of it's front
to back depth (7"), even with the optional brackets, making it hard to reach
into the tank if some of the space in back is taken up with pipes.. If you
have a full hood, the Coralife is easy to use because it will lay across the
top of the tank without a bracket and can be tilted back 90. Because if
it's shape it will stand up this way.
