60 gal reef tank, 6 years established. about 100lb live rock, 30lbs marine
sand, 20lbs aragonite in 6 gal refugium sump, 4x40w no's, 2 fish, many live
rock, unfinished stand
email for photos. this tank was converted to salt about 10 years ago, was
converted to a reef about 6 years ago. I have practiced building a self
sustaining eco-system. This tank is mostly self sufficient. minimal water
changes needed, balance has been struck. a multitude of self grown tube
worms, mushroom, many small reef natural born starfish and snails, tank
filters it self, no filters, just 6 gal sump and refugium. sump uses a
hanging siphon-wier overflow box. the pinewood stand is a year old, and is
extremely sturdy and has room for all equipment below.
