Yellow Cichlid ID please

Hi all,

I have a yellow cichlid which was labelled as ps. acci yellow.

I googled. I presume they meant acei but I can't find any yellow
morph. Moreover this has a horizontal stripe and is a bit slimmer
than I'd expect.

Help welcome! I have a photo and a video of my juveniles:

at first glance, I thought it was a melanochromis johanni, but with a
long lateral line, not entirely sure...

I checked with Dr.Oliver of http://malawicichlids.com/index.htm who gave
me a very prompt reply. He thought it was a female Melanochromis
johannii, possibly hybridized.

Great - that looks a lot like it (the closest match I've seen anyway)
and also good that it's a Malawi - my other fish are. Well, apart
from the common pleco, but EVERYONE has a common pleco, right? ;)

Just to add... I'm now fairly sure you're right. Unfortunately
one went missing the day after purchase, I assumed it was hiding
but I found its remains today.

Anyway - I have been fattening them up a bit :-) because they are
young and as they never seem to get enough to eat in the shop, and
the two remaining ones are just starting to show a blue shimmer in
patches on their body...

Reckon the ID is right, but they are probably both male :(
