Just saw a few short-lived molly fry. They're not the smartest fish in
the tank, are they? I think their entire thoughts were something like
"It's not too exciting hiding in the rocks and plants. Hey, is that my
dad? Boy, it's dark in here."

Anyway, now that I have a nursery/isolation compartment, what are the
signs that the other Mrs. Black Molly will be getting ready to burst
forth with life?

LOL "burst forth with life"

Well I have 2 females one of them was fat and looked like she was going
to "burst forth with life" for 2 weeks and i was starting to get
worried. after she bursted and all she still looked fat..just less
bursting. And then surprisingly 2 days later the other mollie gave
birth. It was only just starting to look the tinyest bit pump not even
fat or anything. I thought she had at least another 2 weeks. So I guess
you really can't tell?
