Activatiing water for fishes

Hi, everyone, do you know that tourmaline sand is good for fishes?

Tourmaline can release 0.06mA bioelectricity in the water and
electrolyze bigger molecule group of water into smaller or single one
so as to activate water. Eradiate more than 90% FIR (far infrared ray),
generate above 235p/s.cm3 negative ions to make water presented
alkalescence (PH is 7 ~ 7.5), antibacterial and deodorizing, and
release mineral microelements.
After having put tourmaline sand, water of the aquarium for fishes is
activated within 2-3hours. The water molecule group becomes smaller and
amount of negative hydroxide ions is increased. Water quality is clear
and doesn??t generate lichens (the top of the aquaria suffering
from sunshine will once in a while generate some lichens, but they will
quickly become yellow, black and die). It is very fit for survival and
health of fishes.
Put tourmaline granules into domestic aquarium for fishes, the water
can be obviously improved, very fit for survival and health of fishes.

1. Put tourmaline sand (granule size is about 5mm) into domestic
aquarium for fishes, according to the size of the aquarium and the
sinking height of tourmaline sand is about 2-10cm (usually the height
is 2-3cm).
2. Due to some membranes will be caused by dung of fishes on tourmaline
sand, it is better to clean one time per 2months and to change water
one time per 2-3months.

It is a complex mineral with piezo-electric qualities

well from what I was reading on the first post it is basicly
electronicly charged sand. That could benifit fish due to the fact that
all life is an balance of minerals and electric impulses. but do we need
to add more? We have our heater that will leak electricity(EMF), if tou
have a filter with an impeller you are adding electricity(EMF). also if
you ever stick your hand in the tank you are adding electricity. And
also the water you put in is electric, unless you use pure h20 witch is
an insolator, but as soon as you through it in the tank it's a conducter.
Note humam saliva has .25v @.01ma, My tap water is .001v @ .01ma not to
mention the fish load the mor fish you have the more electricity you
have in the tank.
Thanks I think I will test the tanks water to determan the electrical
properties of it.

If I am wrong in my assumptions please let me know

If tourmaline adsorbs charged compounds under normal fishtank
conditions, it could be an attractive and useful planted tank substrate.
Pity the link for the price is broken, although the site looks like an
exporter rather than retail anyway.

believe anything they say, but that's just me.

After reading this, I woke up in the night, wondering what the
peizoelectric effect of walking on quartz sand would be. I couldn't
think of any, so I went back to sleep.

After reading that, I spilt my coffee and went about cleaning my keyboard
(your posts often have that effect). While distracted by the coffee
spill, I envisioned clothes which used a wire weave with LEDs stitched
into a plaid pattern, that would glow in various colors as you walked
down the tourmaline beach. The image passed when I finished mopping up
the coffee.
