I have kept angels and loaches together many times. Loaches are
bottom-dwellers, angels are mid-swimmers, they generally paid one
another no attention at all. Remember to keep in mind the different
needs\sensetivities of BOTH species, such as the clown sensetivity to
salt, etc.

My 2 gold pearscale angels grew up with clowns for about 1 year and it was
fine at the start but as the angels matured and got very big, the clowns
hassled them too much, and after spawning the angels hated the clowns in 260
litre. I removed the angels and watched the clowns become "out all day and
very boisterous" You can only try as personalities differ and yours may get
along.

I have 3 Clown Loaches in a 29 gallon tank with 1 Black Angel. The
Angel wants to be boss, but the Clowns and SAEs just brush her off.
She nips at them and they just side swim and continue as if she wasn't
there. Tank has been set up for almost 3 years.

This is a community tank and all the fish wander top to bottom without
any real conflicts even though the tank is heavilly populated.

Results will vary. Clowns have the capacity to amuse themselves, by
causing the Angels to jump by nipping their fins, and Angels can get
aggressive towards the Clowns when they are trying to select a breeding
spot. Size of tank, size of fish and who was there first will all have
some bearing as well. Keep an eye on them.

Scalare angels should be fine in that space with loaches provided your
clown mob isn't too huge.
