i used a epoxy stick to bond a leather coral to a live rock in my 65
gal. it does'nt look bad but i think it would look better repositioned
differently, how much of a problem to try and remove epoxy from rock &
coral to reset again?

once epoxy sets, you can't use it again. if you can get it off both the rock
and/or coral without damaging either, then there is no problem. it can be
hard to remove.

Normally you do can not remove epoxy once it cured. The only I can think of
to remove may damage your coral in the process.
Using a heat gun to soften the epozy (200'F to 350'F depending on the
product). Heat a small area and use a paint or cabinet scraper or razor to
remove the bulk of the coating.
Or use acetone. There are many many other chemical to use for removal of
epoxy but very hazardous (like Methylene Chloride). These two chemical
method I can think of at this moment. Be sure to have plenty of ventilation.
In other word, it maybe impossible for you to remove it without damaging
your coral.

For softies, try using rubber band or bubble gum, or even a toothpick. Epoxy
is meant for hard corals.

Just an idea here and sombody's prolly gonna smack me for it but here
goes...
What if you were to use a grinder of some sort (or dremmel tool) to cut a
small piece of rock off with the coral? That way, you wouldnt have to
seperate the coral from the rock, you could just leave that part alone.
Then you could just glue the small piece of rock that the coral is stuck to
to where ever you want it.
Make sense?
Also, a lot of people recommend the super glue gel for this sort of thing.
I dont know if that would be any easier to remove but from what I have read,
that's the best stuff to use.

Some Rock is brittle and can crumble / break when you try to break / cut it.
Depending on the Rock. And yes, you can try "Dremmel Tool" to remove a small
area.
