Ive recently discovered in my pond a type of aquatic snail that has made
itself at home. I can only assume it was in one of the plants I've
introduced into the pond. I was hoping someone could identify it for me. I
don't currently have a photo, but could try & find it again to take some
happy snaps. Here's a description -
The shell is brown/gray in colour, about 10mm diameter, 3mm depth. There are
perhaps 4 coils? I haven't seen the snail itself, so cant tell you what that
likes. I've done a search of the net but can only seem to find references to
Mystery & Apple snails.

Ramshorn snails are fairly common.

In my pond, and occasionally in the tanks I find papershell snails.

thanks for that. they're more than likely Ramshorn snails.
