Anyone here ever heard of or used this piece of equipment? Sounds nice if
it works.

It is one of those heavily debated items.... Overall, the majority seem to
think it is worthless, because it is virtually impossible to prove that it is
working.
One thing it does appear to do is depress oxygen levels in the tank, which does
improve clarity, but your livestock needs oxygen..... <rolling eyes>

Do you know of some one that has actually tested the oxygen levels in
their tank before and after this device has been installed and seen
that the levels decrease? This is the exact opposite of what they
claim....
I don't have one of these things but I did go read their claims and
explanations. The strong magnets that are used for "water softening"
that are similar to this product do work. I'm not saying that it
actually softens the water but test after test after test has shown
that it does reduce the amount of scale that is left in water pipes,
tanks, etc.. Now I don't know that this is a great thing for our fish
tanks but I don't know that it's not either. Their explanation fits
what I have read about the water softener products for what ever that
is worth.

I know of two guys that have actually tested it themselves. One is actually doing it
currently, and a number of us are looking forward to hearing his report.
This is one of those products that I looked at *twice* (each MACNA they send a vendor), and
still find it fishy. (LOL) I've read some of the discussions about this unit, and while I
didn't memorize the factoids offered, I got the overall impression it is a waste of time,
money and effort. However YMMV and if you or someone else wants to use one, that is
absolutely their right.
You might do a search on RC about this product, as it has been discussed there often enough.
