Hagen test kits

Has anyone here used the Hagen test kits?

I purchased a pH test and a calcium test and between the two of them it
appears that I have a 55 gallon cement block.

Both show readings way off the scale, while a test strip I have used before
says pH is at about 8.

I'll be getting salifert test kits when my tax refund comes along.

BTW, it's a pretty cement block:)
