Thanks to someone here pointing me to the Marine Depot forum (sorry,
can't remember who) and then someone there pointing out to someone else
I have found an Aussie Reef forum I like.
http://www.masa.asn.au/phpBB2/index.php
Why I never came across it during the millions of internet searches I've
done I don't know.

Why is this so great? Because everything is different here from product
names to availability of stock, equipment etc. I have even managed to
find out where there are some shops that carry marine stuff.

Seems that many of them use natural seawater (I suppose because the bulk
of Aussies live on the coast) and I've just read about one person who
has stored it for 3 months with no aeration, in the dark and sealed from
dust and contamination with no problems. I've also learnt of some online
shops, one that delivers free of charge to within an hour's drive of here.

I'm not about to abandon this newsgroup but it makes life much easier to
have found this Aussie forum.

Sounds good.....The big differences between various countries often
times creates problems with terminology and whats available.....
I know in other forums I participate in folks from the UK, get kind of
frustrated with ther Americans and the Americans get frustrated with
the UK folks, with product and method differences.....Nothing beats a
local geographic oriented group.
