BakPak 2 Not skimming now

I hope all is having a happy holiday season.

Well my daughter got me a Maxi Jet 1200 For christmas, and I added to my
tank about 6am this morning. But now my BakPak2 is hardly making any foam
now. I had 2 powerhead 606 on opposite sides of the tank, I have removed one
of the powerheads and now I have the maxi jet 1200 on one end and 1 power
head 606 on the other end and with the etra water movement my skimmer seems
to have literally stop skimming. Is this normal anything for me to worry
about, is it a good or bad sign? Heck I am debating on taking the thing out
but it would really break her little heart if I was to not use it.

55Gallon 48inch Long x 12inches wide x 21inches high

85pounds of live rock
40 pounds of live sand

Could be where you had your hands in the tank, my skimmer stops working if
skin oils get in the water,

Yeah usually it just makes a little foam after being in the tank, but now it
is not making any foam at all. One other thing I changes is the maxijet is
aimed at the water surface and the powerhead 606 is pointed across the
rocks, where I had both 606's blowing across the rocks before. I was doing
some reading and this is suppose to help with gas exchange I do notice with
this setup this way I see no film at all at the water surface, where before
there was just a tiny bit of film in like dead spots on the surface.
