Leaving group

Hi All

I am very sad to say after lurking in this group for 6 months I am
leaving as I am fed up with all of the hurtful and unnecessary postings
that some people have chosen to post.
This was as I believed supposed to be a newsgroup for goldfish lovers
not people haters.

I am sorry to leave as it used to be such a nice group of people here
but I have no time for TIME WASTERS

Sorry you're leaving, Chezza. There's still a lot of interesting
discussion. Also, it's quite easy ignore the nasty posts because they're
from the same group of posters (one poster?).

BTW I mostly just lurk, too.

unhappily, that is the problem with newsgroups. most are completely open to the
public and are unmoderated. main reason I started a goldfish list. not moderated
but nasty people dont get on either. Ingrid

The war Carol and the Jehovah's witnesses has spread basically into every
newsgroup she goes to. It's a war that as far as I can tell has gone back
almost 10 years now. If she left them alone and stayed out of their
newsgroup they'd stay out of the pet fish and pond newsgroups. Unfortunately
that's a pie in the sky kind of wishful thinking, that level of mature
thought is lacking.

Kind of sad really. She claims to have been maintaining aquariums since
1952, or 54 years ago. That makes her probably over 60, so apparently she
has more free time then brains.

It's the hazard of being on Usenet. It's why
a lot of people prefer forums where there's
some degree of control of what is posted.
I prefer the format of newsgroups, despite
the hazards, but that's a personal choice.

There is good information here. Like Steve
says, you just have to ignore the off topic
posts. Or find a goldfish forum to your
liking.

your newsreader lacks a block sender file get a reader that has
one. Why are you allowing yourself to suffer so you poor
innocent child?

Your not the moderater and can't remove her so why make yourself
miserable when no one cares what you think or how you feel?
