Can anybody suggest any good links for researching iverts and/or fish. I
have several reference books but can rarely find enough information on the
species being offered by local suppliers. I would like to know as much as
possible about each species before introducing.

For example, I've recently introduced a Luby Worm which is of the Sea
Cucumber family. Can't find anything on the Luby species, only the group
Holothuroidea - some can wipe your tank out with toxins ..... some can't
........ I don't know which it is!!!

There must be some research data available to aquarists ... problem is
where?

Any help would be greatly appreciated .... Happy New Year to all

Advanced Aquarist is really good. Have you tried there?

http://www.advancedaquarist.com/search.htm

I Tried a search for you on Luby but nothing comes up. It's either
mispelled or is just one of the "common" names that hasnt been widely
excepted yet.

IME, LFSs will sometimes adopt a more friendly, sellable name if the
original name is too complicated or unknown. Ask around at these "local
suppliers" of yours. Maybe they will know another name for them.

Good Luck! =)
