petsolutions.com has SCWDs on sale for 19.99 each. Mine is working
perfectly, but at that price I bought a "spare" to have a backup on
hand or to experiment with.

This is good news - I was going to order one on eBay for $30.
Thanks.

I wonder if this is an early sign of the price going down for these guys
everywhere or this is maybe some mistake on the PetSolution side.

I wish they'd come out with the 1" model already. However, at $20 each, they
can really get more people to buy them for their tanks.

Looks like they caught the pricing error (it wasn't advertised as a sale
that I could tell) but they appear to be honoring orders placed while it
was marked 19.99 (mine has already shipped).

Kinda off-topic from the subject, but does anyone keep their SCWD
inside of the tank? I got the blueprints of Marc's SCWD set-up, but as
I began planning to put it together, I realized it would be a heck of
a lot easier putting both the pump and SCWD submerged in the tank ...

Any pros/cons?

Thanks in advance!

Looks like I was to slow... I placed mine in the e-cart at work but
did not order yet, waiting for other things I forgot at the moment.
I guess it will be too late when I try to order them Monday.
Or maybe they will stay in the cart with low price and I'll get lucky??

It'll work fine submerged. If you have to service the pump, you'll have to pull
all of it out at once though.

They are playing some pricing game... Today it is for $34.99
Go figure. I had mine in e-card for $19.99 and this is the
price it is listed in my todays order confirmation page...
I hope I will get it for that price. I do not think it is
worth more than $30 and I would not pay any more probably.

I wonder if the company would make more profits selling more
units cheap than if sell smaller number of more expensive ones...

Pszemol, how much does it costs to send such unit to Poland?

No idea yet - need to know how big the box is and how heavy is it.
When I receive mine I will know.

But you are little late for $19.99 price - unfortunately it was some error only.
It is back above $34. Some people on eBay sell it for $30 though.

The box is small, and could be wrapped in brown paper for shipping. 6" x 4" x 3" I'd estimate.

And it is very light. 2lbs or less, probably.

Do you have the ways to order them directly from eBay or PetSolutions.com?
If not, let me know and maybe I could help you with re-shipping it to PL.
You can use www.usps.com and they "calculate postage" to find out how
much will it cost based on the info Marc was so kind to give to us.
It is also posiible, that www.ups.com will have competitive rates overseas.
I have heard they recently adjusted their price schedule to compete better
with USPS on the international shipping market.
