Formalin was what I was looking for. The brands
of "ammonia & chorine/chloromine" removers all
have these two chemicals in them.

I'm not sure that they'd be
harmless ammonium ions though.

Excellent table!

A very small amount of Sodium Thiosulfate
will remove lots of chlorine. I have a pound someone
purchased from "The Fish Farmacy" in Tucson AZ
http://www.fishyfarmacy.com/
The directions say, mix 4oz in 1 gal water, then use
ONE DROP of this water per gallon
BUT - Fish Farmacy sells it at $21 lb!!
Photographer's Formulary has it for $4.95 lb!

Fformalin will break down ammonia.
I can find many instances describing it's use,
and it's danger if over dosed. But I can't find
details on how much to safely use for specified
amounts of ammonia. -- or how much ammonia
Is locked into chloromine
