Depends on the size of the feeding and what it is eating. Please do not
feed him gold fish. Try buying sal****er mollies and even try growing
and breeding them yourself its easy. Most LFS will but your extras if
there is any.

First time I have to give credit to someone, great response. A thought why
feed a animal from the ocean a fresh water that slowly destroy it over a
period of time.

Ghost shrimps are sometimes called glass shrimp or common shore shrimp.
Scientific name is Palaemonetes vulgaris if I recall correctly.
You can order them live from many online stores located in Florida.
I have seen them for sure on the inventory list of www.aquaculturestore.com
The price runs from about 50 cents each to about 15 cents each
and depends on the quantity of shrimps ordered in one shipment.
In terms of rising them at home - you would have to research it
since I have never done it before. They are probably cheap enough
to inhibit attempts to mess with "home shrimp factory"...
Especialy if you do not have whole herd of lionfishes - you have
only one hungry mouth to feed.
Good luck!

You can also feed the ghost shrimp enhanced brine of some sort, and that
will increase the life expectancy of the lionfish.
