I removed the crushed coral from my tank and replaced it with a fine sand, I
was wondering that with the crushed coral if I put some of it in a bucket of
fresh water with a low pH, will the calcium leach back out and if so can I
use that fresh water to do the top off's on the tank with the coral ?

It would work, but very slightly. I'd have to guess that the bacteria in the CC
would end up becoming a cesspool of death and probably cause you way more
trouble than it's worth.

I think it might just stabalize the current ph. It may raise it some but not
much.
