To say that a certain bulb will provide better color for ALL SPS is BS.. Some
corals color better under the intensity of 6500k iwasakis, and some color
better under higher K lighting like 20kk radiums.. Every coral is different. I
currently run many different lights. I have radiums, I have sakis I have had
XMs , I have coralvue, I have ushio, I have hamiltons, and I have ABs,,
I hated the XMs, .. Coralvue (I only have short term experience with Coralvue)
has a really nice coloration to the bulb, but they are cheap ( break easily
with splash) Corals look good under them.. Ushios are tried and true. Cant go
wrong with them,, My favorite (and what I get best coral coloration IMO, IME)
is by far the iwasaki w/actinic... Most PAR, last longest, and one of the less
expensive bulbs.
