I am looking for info on books about aquarium (mainly reef) components.
I have read MANY books, but I am not familiar with any books dealling with
the different components, on a component level.
Are there any out there?

Thanks
P

I have Escobar's "Aquatic Systems Engineering: Devices and How They
Function" and also the accompanying CD. However, it is not very complete in
devices. It does have several, but is much more on the principles of the
hydraulics, and not so much the purpose and use of the devices, or how they
tie in with a complete system. If does not have things like 'fuges and such.
I am looking to see if there are any books out there that cover the majority
of the different peices of equipment now in use.

There are several that look interesting at the site listed.

Thanks
P

yea I know what your saying, but from all of them that I have seen
that is the most complete, past that you get into a specific book for
a specific thing, and as you have probibly seen from that site the
better books cost the most $$$$

somewhere out there in the libraries of the world are several books
including one on skimmers, and another on refugiums ..... but they
are expensive and limited in content.

magazines are good for this stuff as they often include vendor
specific detales and such, but then it comes down to locating the
exact magazine that covers what you are interested in.
