Depending on where you live, there is a company that farms LR in Florida and
they drive up here to the midwest every so often. With these people you are
able to get high quality LR that never even leaves the water before you get
it. They are scheduled to come up in March. Let me know if you want more
info. But to answer your question, you don't.

Tampa Bay Sal****er http://www.tampabaysal****er.com/ ships *in water*.
There is a video on their site detailing their procedures. I recently
purchased their "package" and am daily amazed at what is crawling out of the
rock.

Harbor Aquatics has excellent cured live rock that is better then anything I
have seen. Unfortunately, it has to be shipped next day air so it ends up
being very expensive. If cost were no object I would use this.
Since they have no minimum you could do what I did and order 20 pounds to
supplement rock bought from another vendor.
