I introduced some snail into my tank and they dont seem to move much
if at all. They seem to just stay at the very most top of the tank
withough moving their mouth or cleaning around. My water is at 76-78
degrees and i have compact flo lights...any suggestions on why my lazy
snails aint cleaning....thanks.

How long have the snails been in your tank? They might just be resting
before the big chow down :P

Might also be that the snails weren't aclimated long enough before putting
them in the tank. I am embaressed to say I made that mistake when I was a
newb. They died within a week :(

Is it possible that the tank is lacking oxygen?

1. Is there a film on the surface of the water? (If so you may be lacking
oxygen)
2. Do you have a powerhead close to the surface? (If not, put one there)
3. Is the powerhead breaking the film? (If not oxygen exchange is very poor)
