I'm creating a quarantine tank to stop the ich cycle. What are your
thoughts on using copper vs. a uv sterilizer? Apparently, I can't use
both?

I personally believe copper has no use in the marine hobby.

it is not only very toxic to any inverts in even the smallest quantity but
is also toxic to fish to an extent.

I'm sure there will be others who swear by its use in the treatment of ill
fish though.

why not?

Copper will kill off all inverts in the tank.
UV will only kill what passes through the UV unit.

I forgot to mention, Copper will bond to the rocks, etc., and leach out over
time. Killing later. Copper the gift that keeps on giving
