We had a 12 hour power loss, the house temp got down to about 61 degrees.
When the power came back both my clowns were very slugish, but active,
unbtil one got suckedagainst the protein skimmer(cpr backpack), as soon as
it happened i shut it off. but it looks like the damage was done. Is ther
any hope for these guys to come back?
During the outage i was able to heat some water up in my outdoor grille, put
the water in plastic juice bottles, and float them in the tank to keep the
temp somewhat higher than the temp in the house.
**********End Of Post*************
He might make it you never know. I have some fancy goldfish in my pond(yes
completely different) and during some main't I had removed the filter on the intake.
well I got distracted and returned to the pond some 2hrs later to find 1 of them
sucked sideways to the intake pipe( the pump was a little giant ,mdq-5 I think).
long story short the fish is still alive 3yrs. later looks really ****ed up, I think it's
back was broke but is healthy and happy.
Buy a generator the prices have really come down.
We got stuck this past summer for almost 24hrs without power so after about 8 hrs I
went and got a coleman (I think it's 6K watts) for about $500. It saved the frig. and
deep freeze for me and my neighbor and ran the tv's. After the wife realized that
I could run the furnace of it she agreed that It was a good investment.
Good luck and I hope the clown makes it.
