Marc,
I was just looking at your majano page.... please tell me it is not the same
thing as the BTA the LFS sold me. It looks very similar. Maybe not... it
is difficult to tell. What is the difference?

Bob, I've seen various BTAs at the LFS. Some are pretty small, but never as
small as a Majano. Majanos are about the size of a thumbtack, where a BTA maye
be 2" in diameter or larger.

If you have a very tiny BTA-like creature that is about the size of a eraser
head, it is probably a Majano Anemonia.

Well that clears things up :)
I had no idea they where that small. I didn't know your pics were macros.
I guess I am the proud daddy to two BTAs then. One was white (LFS told me
it was another kind). I now know better but it was my 1st shot at anemones
so I had no idea. Actually I went in for a GBM.... but he needed a home :)
They couldn't get the white one off the rock so I got it for free. I am now
nursing it (successfully) back to health. I haven't seen the bubble tips on
either since they where in the QT tank.... but I read somewhere that bubble
tips are actually a sign of distress.... not sure if this is true.
BTW: I just added up the checks I wrote you to deduct from my taxes....
maybe if you showed a pic on your business website how to strip a side of
one of your stands you could call it a business exp. too :) Sure helps
justifying the expense.
