Is it ok to keep Checker1 PH tester in the fish tank 24/7? Will it be ok for
the Ph electrode?

If it's a checker 1 No. You need to keep the electrode in pH 7.0 solution or
electrode storage solution when not in use. The Checker 1's are the low end of
the spectrum and use a lower grade electrode.

The way I understand to keep it safe I have to keep it in pH 7 solution all
the time? What if I keep it dry?

You're not supposed to let that particular one get dry. The higher end ones
need to be soaked in 7.0 solution for an hour or so if they are allowed to dry.

It will fail. It may be possible to restore the thing, but I wouldn't bet
on it. (Especially as I don't know this particular make of electrode.) A
web search will turn up documents on pH electrode care and restoration,
but it's better not to have to restore.

Fish supply places generally sell Electrode Soak solutions, which can be
better than pH 7 buffer, which can tend to get moldy. But they're a bit
pricey considering that in all probability they're just 4-molar potassium
chloride solution.

wet instead of keeping the electrode wet in the cap?

store the tester in it's case with PH 7 solution in the end cap. There is no
PH 7 solution in your fish tank. I simply use the PH7 solution left over
after I calibrate the unit. Due to the number of tanks I run and check I
calibrate about once every two weeks.
