I'm getting back into this wonderful hobby again after about 15 years.
Amazing how things change. I am planning on a fish/invert tank but
would like to plan for some SPS in the future. I have a couple of
questions I'm sure some of you can answer. I am planning on utilizing
my old 45 Gal AG as a sump for my new 75 w/overflow built in. I would
rather not drill the 45, so it appears I will need a submersible in
the sump for a return. Any advice as far as reliable brands or flow
rate (I have about 5-6' of head) I should go with? Do you think my
idea of using the 45 is even feasible considering the tank dimensions
being 36l x 12w x 24h? seems pretty tall and pretty narrow to me. I've
looked for some DIY sites to convert this 45 to a sump, but most are
pretty vague. Does anyone have any good detailed site links for the
DIY'er? Thanks everyone for your help.
