View Full Version : Well $1,000 later and I'm still married
February 26th 04, 12:28 AM
I got home from work tonight and the wife was doing the bills, she looked up and said
"Are you aware of the fact that you have spent $1,000 setting up this new tank?
Oh and how much did you spend tonight?"
Ahh ****. "Yea I kinda figured it was getting up there and I didn't pick up anything tonight,
Jim's shippment came in short ,only clarkii's, and no bubble tip.so I went across town to the
overpriced place and no luck there." She responded " The girls are going to be very disappointed.
What about that guy out west you used to like?"
**** forgot about him. As I'm on the phone asking him to hold 2 Ocellaris and the bubble tip for
me ,the wife chimed in and said "Tell him I'll be there in about and hour"
now this is a 30-45 drive .
The moral to this story is. Behind every expensive tank is a loving, completely insane wife.

LoL
Mines the same way, the only problem is that she looks around for 5 minutes
and is done. I've fixed that problem though, she has a book of crosswords in
the car now ;)

My SO and I got this out of the way fairly quickly.
Me: I really want a decent sized reef tank.
Her: How big?
Me: Well, how much of this wall can I have?
Her: I don't want to move the piano and I want diners at the table to
pull their chairs back a little without bumping into the tank.
Me: *measure*, *measure* That's 60"x18". *calculate*, *calculate*
I can get a 110 gallon main tank with an 82 gallon sump and a
48 gallon refugium in there for 250 gallons of total volume.
Her: And how much will that cost?
Me: The normal estimates are $50-$60/gallon, so... about $12000-$15000
when all is said and done.
Her: That's a *lot* of money, are you sure you're that serious?
Me: It's something I've wanted to do since my first ocean scuba dive.
Her: Okay then, let's figure out where it goes in the budget.
Did I mention how much I truly and deeply love this woman? She's
crazy, but she's *my* kind of crazy :)
Regards,
Ross

Hehehe....
Just ask this question...
What clothes or accessories you brought from last week or today? I believe I
saw some DKNY jean / shirt and SKII bottle.
