Once my tank has completed its cycle with the LR, I plan to add a small
cleanup crew (hermits, cleaner or CBS), and a damsel. One thing I have seen
little info on is recommended food. Can someone give me some tips?

When you say food? Are you referring to feeding your fish or your cleanup
crew? Cleanup crew will eat or scavage any uneaten food or algae. You in
some deli [cocktail] -shrimp from your market. If not meat type, then put in
some nori [sushi wrap / dry seaweed]. And or simply put in sinkable pallet.
It hard to recommend something if you are not telling what you critter you
trying to feed.

Do not recommend Damsel unless you really like this kind of fish. They may
or will terrorize other fish.

What CBS are you referring to? "Camel Back Shrimp" or what? I would not
suggesting putting this kind of shrimp in. Just simply use Peppermint
Shrimp.

Hermit crab can be either way. They can help but can change their behavior
later as they mature. I have two of them at this current time in my sump /
refurim. Can not put them in the main tank due to their behavior problem.

Do not forget some snail. Snails are pretty good crew.

If the CBS is a coral banded shrimp, it won't care what you feed. Just a pinch
of flake food daily will suffice. The food should be consumed within 5 minutes
of being dropped in the tank. Better to underfeed than overfeed and pollute the
tank.
