Anyone used Combo Vital?

Hey, just wondering if anyone has ever tried the Combo Vital? Its a
synergistic mixture of SpectraVital and Blackpower. Mixes two parts Blackpower
and one part Spectra Vital. The combination of these products will bring to
colorful like organisms you didn't even know existed in your live rock. Bought
some the other day and was wondering if anyone has had any success?

No, and for the sake of their corals, they probably shouldn't.

Sounds like you're the manufacturer or own stock in the manufacturer.
I thought the use of the word "synergistic" without any context or
explanation was really jazzy :)

90% of aquarium additives are simply B.S. perpetrated by some LFS
stores and additive makers. I won't say that the manufacturers are
intentionally defrauding people as I don't know that, but their
marketing copy (see example earlier in posting) certainly does give
that impression.

Bottom line: if they won't tell you *exactly* what's in it, and you
don't need all of what's in it, it probably shouldn't go in your tank.

I personally have not used this mix. I have been using Marc Weiss products
for a while and have found Reef Vital, and life sand boost quite good. I
tried black powder, but didn't see any improvement.

Odd's are it's a good product, as most of his products typically get great
reviews. I can only say good things about the Reef Vital and Live sand
boost..Definate improvements within a weeks time.
