Hello everyone,

I would like to convert my hex tank to sal****er and need to replace the
original 14w 15" fluorescent lamp. I am having trouble finding suitable
retro lighting or replacement hood. Short of going all out and getting a MH
pendant, do I have other options? I do not plan on having clams or light
loving corals. I only want a few mushrooms, polyps, soft corals, and maybe
a hammer, elegance or brain at the top (near the light source).

I have a 25-30(?) gallon hex tank. Just under 18" point to point wide and
around 2' deep. The closest fit I have been able to find in PC lighting is
a 96w quad hood but it would still hang over the sides of the tank by a few
inches. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Hi Kevin,

This is a tank I converted for a club member, and as far as I recall he ended up
with a single MH bulb. I'll email him to make sure, because there is a change
he used PC bulbs. I don't see a picture of it set up on my page, so unless I
have a picture buried in my folders, I don't have anything else to show you.
