Help needed with AquaC Remora skimmer

I can't get the injector access screw off my Remora skimmer to clean the
injector. The skimmer is no longer producing much foam, and operates with a
slight hissing noise that is new. The trouble is that the screw is just a
very soft piece of plastic and it appears to be stuck. I can't put much
torque on the screwdriver or it just deforms the head of the screw. I tried
to grasp the screw around the edges with a pair of plyers, but again it just
deforms. The screw just won't budge.

Any tips?

Dave - did you think about just drilling out the stick screw and
replacing it with another nylon screw ?

If you have the perfect screwdriver that matches the size of that screw's
groove, you should be able to unscrew it without ruining it. If you use one
that is too small it'll mangle it.

Once you do get it out, don't screw it back in too far. It only has to be in
far enough to close the hole, and if a little water drips out, that is okay.

I bought the proper screwdriver and was able to get the screw out, although
I damaged the head somewhat with my earlier attempt. I also received a
private response to my original post indicating that I can contact AquaC for
a replacement, which is my plan.

Oh, and the skimmer is working perfectly again now that the injector is
clean.
