I have three colonys of star polyps in my nano reef. On large colony
and two small colonys that were clippings from the original.
Yesterday I noticed that the large colony was almost closed up yet the
two small colonys were fine (and growing fast). Today the large
colony still did not open but the small are fine. Is it normal for
star polys to stay closed for a couple of days. I check my nitrates
and nitrites and all look very good. My other corols are all open and
look good. The star polys have been in the tank for a couple of
months so I am not sure what is going on. Also last night I noticed a
worm like creature in my tank. It was stretched out from one rock to
another (2-3 inches) but was very thin and had a smooth skin. It kind
of looked like a rubber band, when I turned on the lights it quickly
went back into the rocks and I noticed what looked like two small fins
on the end (maybe some sort of month), does anyone have an idea on
what it could be and should I be concerned.
Thanks
