I am thinking about getting one of these 6 stage RO/DI units.

but want to know of peoples experiences with them. This unit doesn't have
the 5 gal container or tap. it's just a filter setup.. The price looks good
and after the dollar conversion from US to AUS and including the freight
makes it much cheaper then anything that comes close to what I can buy
localy.

Yes, I got the one with the pressure tank and 2 taps. Works good, easy
hook-up, and fast shipment.

They claim a 3 day shipment, is that how long yours took ?. Also do you
think it will be easy to use without the preasure tank ?, the cheaper
version doesn't have one. I mostly want to use it for the fish tank, but
occasionly grabbing a drink would be good.

I think it took three day for them to get it shipped then another week
for me to get it. I don't know how it will work for you, your water
pressure will play a role as to how fast it will work.

You want the pressure tank to use it for drinking water, otherwise you
will have to wait for it to fill up your glass which will take a couple
of minutes before you can get a drink.

Ok, so the small tank is for water storage mostly for grabbing a quick
drink, so that means I don't realy need one and can save myself nearly
$100AUS in total cost if I do without it.. Thats the info I needed before
making the choice of the cheaper version.

Have you got any water test readings from the input water and the output
water ?

How have you done you plumbing to your tank/sump for water top ups ?

Are they willing to ship to you in Australia? You might as well send me your
information and I can see what it would cost to ship to you, if you like the unit I
sell.

I have this filter and I bought it from them... I think that it works great. I have had it in for about a month (maybe longer) and have done a water change and use it for refill. My tank water quality is good. I did have a high concentration of phosphates but that was from an earlier problem (using tap water)... Really can't beat the price! The quality seems as good as distilled, if not better.
