noisy mag 9.5

is this normal? It sounds like it's grinding almost, but I took it apart and
cleaned it out (it was already clean)...any idea why it's so noisy or is
that just how they are?

Mine gets very noisy when there high resistance to the intake flow.
Maybe your pipe is to small?

Mine is silent. My Mag 12 makes a little bit of noise, but only when I have my
ear very close to that section of the sump.
