star sick?

[Dinky]

I have a 4" chocolate chip star that has been in my 75g FOWLR for
about 2 months. He eats well, moves about well, and can right himself
when turned over with aptitude. However, his coloration has been
bothering me. When I got him, he was a nice light brown with dark
brown 'chips'. Now, his color is fading, and even seems to be
developing patches of white. Fungus? Any tips or experiences? TY.
