Does anyone know if Aquaria Central is down for good? The site has been down
all weekend now.

As somebody who has had that asked about them over the years I'd say
probably not. This stuff is harder than you'd think and all it takes
is some bad luck or somebody who is paid to help in some way that decides
they aren't going to.

The technology has only been around 10 years and while anybody can put
up a website keeping one going for a long time, day in day out is hard.

I'm sure it'll come back. Archive.org has it if it doesn't.

You could look up the owners name in whois and contact them but
my guess is they're frantically tryuing to repair things and the
last thing they need is distraction at this time.

Right now, the URL redirects to their host's "account suspended" page.
Presumably, they've either dropped the project or dropped the ball...
whois.networksolutions.com has an address and phone number.

Thread drift, I tried email, but it bounced.

I wonder if you still have contact with H. Hieronimus. someone on the
Endler's LB web site is asking about these fish,
I see that Harro is mentioned in association with them in a Google
search, and I remember that Harro was active in the mailing list.

http://www.endlersr.us/index.php

did the mailing list quit, or did I get kicked off it?

Seems they're back up, and in need of a few small donations to register the
forum software. I've done my bit and donated a few bucks, hey it's no skin
of my nose, and I've needed help with my own sites in the past.

I'm a bit suprised they're not using free forum software, there are some
damn good packages out at the moment, ahh well.
