Does anyone know where I can purchase a small leopard shark? I mean
around a foot in length. It seems the
liberal state of CA passed a law that they can't be sold for aquaria
unless they are over three feet in length.
As if their populations are in danger considering they are not
commerically fished for. I have the proper aquarium
to house them in but I can't find a store/mail-order that can get them.

Leopards are not for the average hobbyist. If you're considering
housing one in an "aquarium" you don't have enough room. I bet you
don't have a chiller either. You also need to learn more about these
sharks. They are born at 14-18" and a three foot shark is only 1-2
years old. so if you see a 9-12" shark for sale, a gravid female was
caught and gutted to get the young. Thus the law.
