I am designing a new reef tank: 29g with 10g sump/refugium. I plan on
either converting an old 10g aquarium or building my own. I have
learned alot from Marc's site and his sump designs (thanks Marc great
site!). My question is whether it is preferable to have the water flow
into the skimmer chamber before the refugium or after? Or should the
refugium and skimmer chambers have separate intakes and empty into a
common return area? I see many different designs and was wondering if
anyone had any input as to the preferable setup? I will most likely be
using an AquaC Urchin skimmer with this setup. Any ideas would be
greatly appreciated - thanks!
