Also known as Badis badis bengalensis or Badis spec.
"scarlet". Other common names?

Would like to keep some of them (how much is okay?) in a
50cm/36l tank (~10g).

How to prepair the tank (wood?, stones?, holes?, plants?,
water parameters?, filter y/n, tank mates?, food?)?

Are they robbery fish?

Any suggetions?

Yes, get them at all costs. They are very amzing fish and they may
become youur favorites. They (greatly!) prefer live food and want
lots of hiding places. They do not get very big at all.

They have a reputation for being aggressive but I think that
is undeserved. They're merely territorial. Tiger barbs are way
more agressive.

badis are best kept on their own, or with expendable dither fish
such as white clouds.

Indeed. I wouldn't try to keep "normal" Badis in a 10g tank.

Well, I've kept T. albonubes several times between 5 and 30
C. A fantastic cool water fish!

Consider checking out T. micagemmae. It's smaller, prettier, and less
aggressive than albonubes, and it's getting quite common in the trade
now. It's also as easy to breed as albonubes.
