Hi,
After removing large amount of coraline algae from a somewhat
neglected tank, I find that the Urchins have scrached the acrylic so
bad, it looks foggy.
Is their a way to polish the inside of an acrylic tank without
draining and removing the inhabitants?
Thanks
Todd

I was just about to pose the same question regarding a glass tank. I have a
large glass tank that I bought used and it has a lot of very tiny scratches
on the inside of the tank. Is there anything I can do to remove them?

If the Novus 2 or 3 as Cap pointed out don't work or if the scratches are on
the inside of the tank, then Micro-Mesh is usually the ticket. It's a series
of abrasive cloths (*kinda* like sandpaper) that start at 1200 grit and you
work through the series to 12,000 grit, then Novus 2 if on the outside. It's
tedious but quite effective. Available at http://www.micro-surface.com/
There is also a scratch removal kit by Rainbow available at many online vendors
which is essentially a scaled down version of Micro-Mesh.
Either kit is just fine on a fully stocked tank and won't harm a thing.
Do not use Novus inside the tank though :)

James
