Does anyone know of any websites(that ship to Canada) that you can purchase
live rock, sand or fish from?
The prices at the LFS here are crazy. I'm just looking to explore all my
options.
thanks

I'm in London Ontario. Just starting the cycling process. I've got 6lbs so
far and the LFS around here charge 10bucks a pound.. is this a good price?
I'm looking for about 20-30 lbs more.
thanks

well i'd love to take a trip to montreal to get some rock.. that would be
interesting.. I've got 6lbs of live rock right now with a little friend
growing out of one. I think it's from the tube anemone family. I just want
to make sure I've got lots of rock and good water before I introduce my
fish. What is this base rock, do you buy it at the lfs?
Merci beaucoup :)

The cheapest live rock I've found in Ottawa Ontario is $12.99 per pound. And
I would classify it as "dead rock". Consider yourselves lucky.
This summer I plan on going to New York, (8 hour drive one way) just to buy
aquarium supplies. The prices here are stupid. $800 for a protien skimmer.
for $10 worth of plastic. totally insane.

George, have you been to the marine place down on Carling (I think it's
called MarineScape or something... it's a tiny place, right off of
Carling, near the Humane Society....)? And have you checked out Big Als?
I like the guys down in Kanata -- they definitely seem to know what
they're doing (*grin* but talk to their marine guys. ;-) )... Last I
checked (granted, it's been a few months) the price was something closer
to $7/pound...
