I have a goldfish that has developed a lump on the top/left side of its
head. It appears to have a very thin white rim around it. The fish is very
active and otherwise healthy. Can you help me learn what this is, can my
other fish get it, and any remedy for this?
Thank you,
J

I use DesaFin in my tank and pond.. this lump you have is a problem
associated with snails mostly that infect the fish...IF you catch this
earily, you can succesfully treat it with the DesaFin.. MOST places
carry this medication where they sell POND supplies.. Don't get anything
else but the DesaFin... As this is for pond use only, I would meassure
according to the tank/pond you have them in as it is concentrated for
ponds. VERY POTEINT!! DONT' OVER DOSE!! This treats 2.500 gal so it wil
last you a long time. TREAT THE WHOLE TANK/POND.. IF one gets it they
all do...keep your filters really clean and NO CARBON WHILE TREATING..
IF the fish dart about wildly for over 5 min, then have some fresh
treated water to do a FAST 5-10 gal water change..some do react to the
meds.. Don't confuse DON'T LIKE to a reaction..wait the 5 min..
I receive no money, gifts, discounts and other entiltlements
either..AND WOULD NEVER ASK FOR ANY!!...BUT thats not why I am
here...I'm here for the <><..
